A Brief History

Founded in 1960, KMITL was originally established as a technical college named “Ladkrabang Technical College” in response to the country’s growing need for technical education and skilled professionals. In 1971, it was granted university status and renamed “King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang” in honor of King Mongkut (Rama IV), a revered monarch known for his contributions to science and technology.
