TCAS Round 1 (Portfolio)

 

To be eligible for freshman admissions, an applicant must graduate from or is studying in Mathayom Suksa 6 Secondary Education of Thailand (M.6) or its equivalent under following conditions:

  • Graduated from or studying in Mathayom Suksa 6 (M.6) in Thai system school or equivalent, or
  • Graduated from or studying the last year of high school in international school or overseas, complying with Mahidol University International Qualifications
  • Applicants must pass Mahidol University’s health requirement
  • Applicants who are high school graduates must have a cumulative grade point average of M.4 to M.6, total of 6 semesters, greater than or equal to 3.50
  • Applicants who are current students in M.6 must have a current cumulative grade point average from M.4 to current date, greater than or equal to 3.50
  • For international school students, applicant must have a cumulative grade point average during Grade 10-11 or Year 11-12, greater than or equal to 3.50

or

  • Hold A Level results in 3 subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, Grade A or above in each subject

or

  • Hold SAT II Subject Test in 3 subjects including Biology-M, Chemistry, Mathematics Level 2 or Physics, 700 or higher in each subject
    or
  • Hold IB Higher Level results in 3 subjects including Biology (6 or higher), Chemistry or Physics (6 or higher), Math Standard Level (6 or higher) or Math Higher Level (5 or higher)

Applicants must submit one of the following English proficiency test scores

  • TOEFL (Internet-based) 80 or higher
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or higher

Applicants must submit BMAT test scores

  • A total score of 3 sections: 12.0 or higher
  • Session 3 Quality of English: C or higher


Applicants must hold a portfolio and must pass Chulalongkorn University’s health requirement

Portfoilio

  • Personal Statement (Less than 5,300 characters)
    • Reason of the application
    • Motivation in studying medical program
    • A Life Purpose
  • Past activities (a maximum of 15 activities, less than 700 characters)
  • Describe 2-3 of your outstanding activities (Less than 1,325 characters)
  • Proofs of activities and achievements (pdf, jpeg, or Youtube link)
  • 2 emails from your academic referees

Selected applicants will be invited to the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
