Group 1: Students from schools in Thailand and overseas 25
Group 2: Students from Mahidol University International Demonstration School 5
Admission requirements
- Applicants have not confirmed enrollment in any rounds of TCAS
- Applicants must have never been expelled from any institution due to improper behavior.
- Applicants must not be a current student in any dentistry program at any national university of Thailand unless the applicant quits the program before applying
- Applicants must not be an applicant of the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program, Mahidol University on TCAS 1 (Portfolio)
The required English proficiency test scores are
- TOEFL (Internet-based) 79 or higher
- IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or higher
Applicants must have the test scores which are dated within the last two years of the application deadline
The required SAT II test scores with the minimum of 650 in each of the 3 subjects below
- Biology-M (Molecular)
- Chemistry
- Physics or Math Level 2
Applicants must have the test scores which are dated within the last two years of the application deadline
*Applicants who have the valid BMAT score can submit the score along with the required SAT II test scores

Specific eligibility requirements
Thai Curriculum
- Applicants who are high school graduates must have a cumulative grade point average of M.4 to M.6, total of 6 semester, greater than or equal to 3.00
- Applicants who are current students in M.6 must have a current cumulative grade point average from M.4 to current date, greater than or equal to 3.00
- There must be 4 science-mathematics subjects in the high school transcripts including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Applicants who joined an exchange program during the study in high school must have results of the science-mathematics subjects in their high school transcripts.
International Curriculum
- High school graduates from an international school in Thailand or a high school overseas.
- Current students in the final year of high school who are expected to graduate in the academic year from an international school in Thailand or a high school overseas.
- There must be 4 science-mathematics subjects in the high school transcripts including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Applicants who joined an exchange program during the study in high school must have results of the science-mathematics subjects in their high school transcripts.
Applicants must have a high school cumulative academic result according to the following criterias:
Advanced Placement (AP)
- A cumulative GPAX greater than or equal to 3.00
International Baccalaureate
- Graduates must have IB scores greater than or equal to 35 points out of 45 points
- Current students must have predicted IB scores greater than or equal to 35 points out of 45 points and a current cumulative grade point average greater than or equal to 3.00
GCE Advanced Level/ International A Level
- Graduates must have GCE Advanced A Level/ International A Level scores from at least 3 subjects (ABB)
- Current students must have predicted scores of GCE Advanced A Level/ International A Level, no less than B and at least 1 A
- Current students must have a current cumulative grade point average greater than or equal to 3.00
Group 2: Students from Mahidol University International Demonstration School
Specific eligibility requirements
Academics
- Applicants must be current students in G.12.
- Applicants must have a current GPAX from G.10 to the application date, greater than or equal to 3.50
- Applicants must earn a grade A in at least 2 of these 4 subjects which are shown in the high school transcript from G.10 to the application date including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics
- There must be 4 science-mathematics subjects in the high school transcripts including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Applicants who joined an exchange program during the study in high school must have results of the science-mathematics subjects in their high school transcripts.
Applicants must submit a portfolio with the following requirements
- Presentation done by Powerpoint program and written in English
- Presenting an applicants’ activity of choice limited to one topic from the followings:
1.Academic 2. Art 3. Leadership 4. Social Responsibility
- Presentation consists of 5 Powerpoint pages (1st page: briefly self-introduction and a chosen topic/ 2nd-5th page: portfolio of activities including a brief description of the details and the reasons for the selection)
No animation or video
Personal Statement should be explained as follow
- Reasons for applying the Doctor of Dental Surgery program (International Program) at Mahidol University
- Motivation to study the Doctor of Dental Surgery program (International Program)
- A life purpose
Personal statement cannot be more than 1 A4 page, Times New Roman fonts, 14 font size and single space.
Recommendation letters from two teachers
- Letter should be introduced and recommended the applicant to be accepted to the Doctor of Dental Surgery program (International Program)
- Letters could be in Thai or English and cannot be more than 1 A4 page (The letters should be sealed in an envelope with the school stamp)
Letters only sent out from the applicant’s school directly to Mahidol International Dental School
Selection Process
- SAT II Scores 40%
- Interview Scores 30%
- Dental aptitude test scores and special skill test scores 20%
- Portfolio 10%
