Academics
Entry requirements must conform with Thammasat University regulations regarding Bachelor’s degree level studies
- Thai students graduated from Thai School or equivalent must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education or equivalent
- Attainment of an average score of at least 3.00 or equivalent in further Mathayom education.
- Thai students or foreign students graduated from abroad or international schools in Thailand must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education or equivalent
- The attainment of an average score of at least 3.00 or equivalent in further Mathayom education, or equivalents. The following conditions shall be applied:
British education system
- Applicants shall have GCE ‘A’ Level results in 3 subjects, with grades A*-C; or
- Applicants shall have Cambridge Pre-U results in 3 subjects, scoring at least M1 or D1-D3 in each subject.
American/Canadian system
- Applicants taking the GED tests after May 2560 BE shall have GED results in 4 subjects, scoring at least 165 in each subject.
- Applicants must also submit an official high school transcript of grade 10 and 11. This qualification is equivalent to a high school diploma in Language Arts or Arts-Math (as previously called) programs only.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Programs
- Applicants shall have a High School Diploma from a school in Thailand approved by the Ministry of Education; or
- Applicants who graduated from overseas shall have an IB Diploma: that is; having a total score of no less than 24 points from 5 subjects and 1 elective subject, and shall have passed the evaluation on Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Action & Service (CAS) under the criteria of International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO); or
- Applicants have IB Diploma Course Results (5 subjects with Grade 3 or above in each subject)
English Language Requirement
Round 1 (Inter Portfolio)
Applicants must submit an English proficiency test score of one of the following types within 2 years up to the date of application:
- TOEFL: minimum score 79 (Internet-based) or
- IELTS Academic: minimum score 6.5
- TU-GET: minimum 550
- NEW SAT: minimum score 450 (Evidence Based Reading and Writing)
Inter Program Admission 1 & Inter Program Admission 2
Applicants must submit an English proficiency test score of one of the following types within 2 years up to the date of application:
- TOEFL: minimum score 61 (Internet-based) or
- IELTS Academic: minimum score 6.0
- TU-GET: minimum 500
NEW SAT: minimum score 400 (Evidence Based Reading and Writing)
Portfolio & Statement of Purpose (Inter Portfolio Round)
The submitted documents should include the following details:
- 2 years past activities, competition, or work regarding media & communication or
- Past activities, competition, or award in national and international level
Written Examination (Inter Program Admission 1 & Inter Program Admission 2)
The eligibility applicants must attend a written examination held by The Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication
