Academics

Students must have completed, or presently enrolled in their final year of secondary school (the equivalent of Mathayom 6, grade 12 for US system or year 13 for British system); GED or IGCSE as an equivalent study at high school (M6) can also be considered.  For students applying with GED, IGCSEs, IB, or other qualifications from abroad, please contact Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center for Degree Equivalence Certificate before applying.

British System

  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), or General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O Level), with grade results A*-C on 5 different subjects + transcript.
  • And General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A Level) with grade results A*-E on at least 3 different subjects + transcript

American System

  • General Educational Development (GED) Credential obtained between May 2017 to July 2020 with minimum score 145 on all 4 subjects
  • General Educational Development (GED) Credential obtained from August 2020 with minimum total score 660 on all 4 subjects

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma, or
  • IB Diploma Course Results (IBCR) with not less than grade 3 on at least 5 different subjects

English Language Requirement

Applicants have attained a satisfactory score on one of these English proficiency tests, depending on the period of appliance.

 

Admission Round 1 

*TOEFL ITP & IELTS Indicator are not accepted

  • TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test) with a minimum score of 95; OR
  • IELTS with a minimum score of 7.0; OR
  • CU-TEP with a minimum score of 90

Admission Round 2

*TOEFL ITP & IELTS Indicator are not accepted

 

  • TOEFL iBT (Internet Based Test) with a minimum score 79; OR
  • IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5; OR
  • CU-TEP with a minimum score of 80

Aptitude Test Score

Applicants have attained a satisfactory score on one of these aptitude tests, depending on the period of appliance.

 

Admission Round 1

  • SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) with a minimum score of 480 (Send Score Report via College Board to Balac Code : 6902) OR 
  • CU-AAT (Verbal) with a minimum score of 480 OR
  • ACT (English and Reading) with a combined minimum score of 34
  • Candidates of this round will also have to undergo interviews (No written examinations).

Admission Round 2

 

  • CU-AAT (Verbal) with a minimum score of 400 OR
  • SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) with a minimum score of 450 (Send Score Report via College Board to Balac Code : 6902)OR
  • ACT (English and Reading) with a combined minimum score of 31
  • Candidates of this round will have to undergo written examinations and interviews.
